WHAT IS AYURVEDA?
Ayurveda is a traditional Indian Medicine, the oldest and extensively documented health care system in the world. Ayurveda is a holistic science of life, health and wellbeing. According to Ayurveda, health is a dynamic state of balance between body, mind and consciousness or spirit. Ayurveda considers that each individual is born with a unique constitution and no two persons are alike. Hence any approach to wellness has to be an individualized based on the person’s constitution. Ayurveda places a great emphasis on maintaining the balance by appropriate diet, lifestyle, nutritional and herbal supplements.

WHAT IS INTEGRATIVE MEDICINE ?
Integrative medicine is practicing medicine in a way that selectively incorporates elements of complementary and alternative medicine into comprehensive treatment plans alongside allopathic methods of diagnosis and treatment.
The treatments advised in integrative medicine are to be used in concert with standard medical treatment when necessary.
Integrative Medicine is not a synonym for complementary medicine. Complementary medicine refers to treatments that may be used as adjuncts to conventional treatment and are not usually taught in medical schools. Integrated medicine has a larger meaning and mission, its focus being on health and healing rather than disease and treatment. It views patients as whole people with minds and spirits as well as bodies and includes these dimensions into diagnosis and treatment. It also involves patients and doctors working to maintain health by paying attention to lifestyle factors such as diet, exercise, quality of rest and sleep, and the nature of relationships.
